Doris Lane writes true crime stories online as Madam Murder and ghost stories as Shady Lady. Crime Magazine, Nefarious: Tales of Mystery, The 13th Story, McKenzie Magazine, Haints, and others have published her short fiction, true crime stories, and ghost stories. Her crime novel set in Asbury Park NJ, Asbury Park Medusa, will be published in January 2003. She has a novella noir scheduled to appear in the Judas anthology, Damascus: Murder in a Small Town; and a short story in the upcoming Tri-Muse anthology, Writers on the Water's Edge. She lives at the Jersey Shore.
