Conscious Tides

I am secure
With you, like the world revolving in its own orbit
Spinning without question
Unconditionally accepted and loved
Thank you.
And as an unknown force draws me
To you, I go without doubt because my heart
Tells me to
I am just a girl but you treat me
Like a woman
And because of you
I want to become a better person
I seem to have met you before
You are familiar to me
But I can’t conclude; I don’t want to
Sound too sure, I could be wrong
However true I must be feeling
Why do you haunt my heart
Your spirit captures my insides
How surreal could this be
This is not expected of me
I’m naive and subdued
Your strange impact is ultimately present
The timing is perfect
How could our paths have crossed this way
When I wasn’t really searching
And you weren’t erally looking
Why do you disturb my sleep at night
Why do I feel incomplete when I could not hear you
Or touch you, or see you
Why am I putting down these words on paper
As if to prove to myself that
This is truly happening
I like it when you interfere into my life
You are not possessive
You are near but far enough
I have space to be my own self
Thank you.
Our union has been quite a tale
To be recorded with boundless
Charisma; I dedicate this piece to you
Chained with my mind and soul
Your aura seduces me positively
I can’t refuse, I am hypnotized
I feel like a saint and you are my halo
Directly above me, never ceasing to glow
The sand in the hourglass slips
But with you nothing changes
You amaze me, stay that way
I love you.
